This suite is named after the village of Temple which lies two miles to the south. This village was the headquarters of the Knights Templar in Scotland during the 12th and 13th centuries and was known as Balantradoch.

From the windows of this sunny twin bedroom you look out beyond the Walled Garden to rolling fields and ancient woodlands.

The beds are exceedingly comfortable and amply supplied with pillows, winter and summer duvets and top quality bed linen. The room is fully carpeted with thick wool carpeting.

The style of this bedroom is more Louis XIV and it has ample storage space including wardrobe with storage shelf above..

Heating is by a controllable radiators, lighting is ample and the windows are double glazed.

Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits are provided. You will also have a flat screen TV with satalite television and access to over 100 channels, including CNN and Sky News. The room has wireless broadband connection and you may book in the free use of a laptop to check your e-mails or surf the net.

The en-suite bathroom has marble flooring (originally the altar steps from the chapel at Whitehill House) and two Edwardian radiators supplying plenty of comforting warmth. The large stained glass window casts evocative light into this remarkable room.

The sink and WC are of Edwardian style as are the shower fittings. The large corner shower cubicle provides an invigorating mains pressure shower.

The shower and bathroom are individually vented to a silent central extract fan located well away – so there is no noisy extract fan to disturb your relaxation.

You will be provided with complimentary quality soaps, shampoos, conditioners and shower gel.

Thick luxurious Egyptian cotton bath sheets, towels and flannels are provided for each guest. Bath robes are also available
