Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits are provided. You will also have a flat screen TV with access to over 100 TV channels including CNN and Sky News. The room has wireless broadband connection.

The en-suite bathroom is expansive measuring 10 feet by 6 feet with a large separate shower cubicle providing an invigorating mains pressure shower. In addition to wall mounted WC and bidet there is a large sink and wide counter with loads of room for bags and toiletries. The bathroom has its own window and large heated towel rail.

The shower and bathroom are individually vented to a silent central extract fan located well away – so there is no noisy extract fan to disturb your relaxation.

You will be provided with complimentary quality soap, shower gel and body lotion as well as luxurious Egyptian cotton bath sheets and towels. A hair dryer is also provided.

The biggest problem we have with the Rosslyn Suite is that guests find it so relaxing and enjoyable they just don’t want to leave!

This suite is named after Rosslyn Chapel which lies less than two miles to the north of Orchard House.

From the windows of this spacious double bedroom you look out over the Walled Garden and beyond to ancient deciduous woodland and rolling fields.

The bed is King size, exceedingly comfortable and is amply supplied with pillows, winter and summer duvets and top quality bed linen. The room is fully carpeted with thick wool carpeting.

The room has two comfortable Edwardian parlour chairs (M’ Lords’ and M’ Ladys’ – spot the difference!) a coffee table and Victorian chest of drawers. There is also a wardrobe with hangers and storage shelf.

Heating is by controllable radiators, lighting is ample and the windows are double glazed – useful if you’re a light sleeper and want to cut out the sound of the dawn chorus (which is probably the loudest noise you’ll hear in our haven of tranquillity!)
